Disciplinary Rules

1. School Property

a. Students must keep the school clean and dispose of litter in designated dustbins.
b. Writing, drawing, or scratching on school furniture or walls is prohibited.
c. Accidental damage must be reported to the class teacher. Intentional damage will require compensation.

2. Behavior Guidelines

a. Respect and obey teachers, staff, and school authorities.
b. Fighting, verbal abuse, or physical aggression will result in strict action.
c. Maintain silence and avoid running in classrooms and corridors during study hours.
d. Avoid loitering in classrooms or designated areas during breaks or activity periods.
e. Use proper language; vulgar or abusive language is prohibited.
f. School leaders must be respected at all times.
g. Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, storybooks (non-library), and fancy items are strictly forbidden.

3. Discipline Enforcement

a. Discipline is enforced through Remarks, Warning Letters, and Yellow Cards:
  ● Three similar remarks from a teacher may result in parental summons and further action.
b. Yellow Card entries are issued for:
  ● Grave indiscipline, violence, property damage, absenteeism during critical school events, or repetitive misconduct.
c. Parents must sign Yellow Cards on Open House Days.

4. Attendance and Punctuality

a. Students must attend all school functions and maintain at least 75% attendance annually to appear for exams.
b. Latecomers will face fines and detention. Habitual latecomers may lose privileges.
c. Absences require a note signed by parents or a medical certificate for extended leave.
d. Repeated absenteeism may result in removal from school rolls.

5. Classroom Conduct

a. Be attentive, follow teacher instructions, and complete assignments on time.
b. Maintain silence in classrooms and during transitions.
c. Students must pack their bags as per the timetable and avoid leaving personal belongings unattended.
d. Movement between classrooms must be orderly.

6. Safety and Prohibited Items

a. Dangerous items like sharp objects, explosives, or harmful materials are prohibited.
b. Smoking, substance abuse, or possession of prohibited items will result in severe disciplinary action.
c. Motor vehicles are not allowed on school premises.

7. Dress Code and Grooming

a. Uniforms must be neat, clean, and worn as per school specifications.
b. Hairstyles should be simple and moderate. Fancy hairstyles or excessive grooming are prohibited.
c. Ornaments, jewelry, and cosmetics are not allowed.

8. Use of Technology and Gadgets

a. Mobile phones and unauthorized gadgets are not permitted in school.
b. Confiscated gadgets will only be returned to parents for repeated violations.
c. The school is not responsible for the loss of personal gadgets.

9. General School Rules

a. Maintain silence during assemblies, prayers, and the National Anthem.
b. Borrowing or lending money or valuables is not allowed.
c. All signs, notices, and posters must be approved by the school authorities before display.
d. Eating in non-designated areas is prohibited.

10. Disciplinary Consequences

a. Minor Offenses(e.g., late coming, improper attire, disruptive behavior):
  ○ Warnings, written work, detention, or parental involvement.
b. Serious Offenses (e.g., cheating, bullying, violence, substance abuse):
  ○ Suspension, expulsion, or other corrective measures.
c. Disciplinary actions will be recorded and impact the student’s Conduct Grade.

11. Medical and Safety Policies

a. Students with contagious illnesses must complete quarantine before returning.
b. Injuries during school hours will be treated, and parents will be informed promptly.
c. Parents must teach young children basic information like their name, address, and contact number for safety.

12. Celebrations and Permissions

a. Festive attire and simple chocolates/sweets are allowed for birthdays. Class parties and fancy gifts are prohibited.
b. Activities like picnics, parties, or external representations require prior permission from the Principal.

13. Parent Responsibilities

a. Ensure children follow rules, maintain discipline, and attend school regularly.
b. Cooperate with school authorities and attend meetings when summoned.
c. Avoid argumentative behavior with teachers or staff.

14. Dismissal and Expulsion

a. Students may be expelled for consistent academic failure, misconduct, or actions that harm the school’s reputation.
b. Parents will be informed before any expulsion decision.
